Hey Sistas, Goddess Locs are a new and trendy look that many women are starting to rock. Goddess Locs are a super sassy protective hairstyle that many natural women are starting to embrace.  Goddess locs gives an illusion that you have real dread locs. The process of Goddess Locs is a little more technical compared to braids or twist. Goddess Locs became popular after seeing celebrities like Rihanna and Meagan Good gracefully wearing them.  


 The question is exactly how do you get these locs? You start off with freshly washed hair that has been moisturized. You twist your natural hair into small sections adding your choice of synthetic or human hair to each twist for the length. You than wrap the one strand of hair around each twist, working your twist in a downward motion. When you get to the bottom you leave the wavy ends uncovered to give the curly goddess look.

For Goddess Locs you can use synthetic or human hair. Synthetic hair is cheaper and is recommended if it is your first time trying Goddess Locs. Human hair is more expensive but gives you more of the natural look. While having Goddess Locs it is important to keep your scalp moisturized with oil and free of dandruff. Sea Breeze is a great scalp cleanser.

With Goddess Locs there is so much versatility you can wear them in a bun, half-up-half down, or the side. If you keep your hair wrapped up properly and take care of it the Goddess Locs should last a couple of months, but it is important to take care of your natural hair. It is important to keep your Goddess Locs looking good but it is also important to make sure your natural hair is being properly taken care off.

Many people don’t know the difference between Goddess Locs and Faux Locs; Goddess Locs have the curly ends ; while Faux Locs are just straight locs. Goddess Locs are a good protective hairstyle for all times of the year but especially during the summer time. When getting Goddess Locs make sure the stylist does not cause to much tension on you edges; this can lead to breakage. Hey Sistas, I have a video showing you how I take care of my wig while my natural hair is braided under the wig. It is important to take care of your weave and your natural hair while wearing a wig. I have had this hair for two years but the first time I wore the hair as a sew in. Hey Sistas, a wash and go is my go to hair style. It is super simple in the summer; especially for me I just wash my hair and go. The name tells it all; basically you wash your hair and go on with your day. Although, a wash and go is simple for me it is a harder for others especially trying to find the right products. A lot of products are not needed for a wash and go but you still have to attempt to add in something that will give your natural hair some shine and moisture. Here are the steps to achieve a  successful wash and go.  1.       First Co-wash your hair with a conditioner ( OGX Biotin & Collagen). Washing helps get rid of all the product build up. Using conditioner to co-wash helps moisturize your hair.
