Hey Sistas welcome to my blog. I am Janae Jordan a senior Broadcast Journalism major and Political science minor at Troy University. My blog is all about natural hair. When you think of natural hair you probably think of afros, nappy, or kinky hair. 

 This blog is going teach you all about protective styles, how to style your natural hair, and different products to use. I have been natural for about 3 years now and it has been the best thing I could have ever done to my hair. My hair is my crown, and I wear my natural hair proudly. Many girls around campus also wear their natural hair. 

 In my blog I will feature different people and their natural hair. It is crucial to find the right products for your textured hair, because everyone does not have the same hair texture. My blog will help you find the right products for your hair and the right styles for your hair. In addition I will post videos and photos on my blog so you will have a visual idea of what to expect.

  Natural is not easy but it is totally worth it. Having natural hair can be stressful sometimes; there are days when you just don’t know what to do with your hair. My blog will help you on those lazy days when you just want a cute messy bun or a quick wash and go.

  I hope my blog is very helpful to all ladies of all ages, races, and ethnicities. Many people think only African Americans have natural hair; this is definitely not true by definition, natural hair is hair that has grown naturally from your scalp and has not been altered. Hey Sistas, I have a video showing you how I take care of my wig while my natural hair is braided under the wig. It is important to take care of your weave and your natural hair while wearing a wig. I have had this hair for two years but the first time I wore the hair as a sew in. I let a friend make a wig out of it and this is how I have been wearing my hair lately.   At night rime I detangle my hair and add OGX conditioner and water to it.   I mix OGX conditioner and water in a spray bottle and I wet my hair all the way through. After I wet my hair all the way through I comb through it once again to make sure it is all detangled. Next I twist my hair up and I take my wig off at night and place it on a styrofoam wig head to dry overnight. In the morning I wake up put my wig cap on and place my wig on top of the wig cap. Hey Sistas, many girls in college are natural and love their natural hair, but it can definitely be a hassle. There are those day where you just really don’t know what to do with your hair. Many college girls choose to wear protective hairstyles such as; braids, weave, wigs and twist.   Between classes, homework, work, and extra-curricular activities protective hairstyles are easier to maintain. Wash And Go

Hey Sistas, a wash and go is my go to hair style. It is super simple in the summer; especially for me I just wash my hair and go. The name tells it all; basically you wash your hair and go on with your day. Although, a wash and go is simple for me it is a harder for others especially trying to find the right products. A lot of products are not needed for a wash and go but you still have to attempt to add in something that will give your natural hair some shine and moisture. Here are the steps to achieve a  successful wash and go.  1.       First Co-wash your hair with a conditioner ( OGX Biotin & Collagen). Washing helps get rid of all the product build up. Using conditioner to co-wash helps moisturize your hair.
